A pestilent fake American accent telling me my Amazon Prime sub is to be renewed. I have no interest in Amazon Prime and find thius sort of intrusion completely unacceptable. Twice today so far. Fraud said they were to do with repairs. Lots of voices and noise in background. Asked if I was council housing association, when I told them they should know this, they started asking if I had reported damp, mould, cracked windows or any other jobs. I told them they should have that on the computer and to tell me which they are calling for... I got ok madam good day and they hung up. This is the second call in as many days from what appears to be a valid UK phone number but is most likely a cold caller masking their own number/ID and falsely making the call look like it's a UK number. I rang back the 'UK' number that phoned us the day before and it was a private individual living in Worcestershire. Neither she nor her husband had made the call. The Call Guardian phone has been worth its weight in gold as it deters 99% of cold callers - those that announce their names are then blocked
