Received text message claiming to be from Royal Mail as I refused to pay £2.99 with link to reschedule delivery. Did click on the link which was very stupid , ( I was expecting the parcel ) but nothing happened and no other details from me were asked . It was just a blank page. They just phoned my elderly father-in-law on his land line and luckily my husband had just arrived at the house when they phoned. They told him that they were the National Crime Agency and that there had been fraud on his bank account. Phoned 14h00 GMT 05/02/20 claiming to be on behalf BTOpenreach. Had I noticed slow broadband speeds; were my modem lights flashing; what colour were they? AT this point I told him (male, Indian/Asian accent) That I thought he waas wastng my time. I heard him shouting at me as I was hanging up.
