Picked up call when visiting my very elderly mother. They knew her name but little more. They asked to speak to her but would not say who they were, but said it was important. I said I would not continue if they would not identify themselves @nd they terminated call. Asian man was calling. Don?t think they targeted her because of her age. They are scammers - they do nothing for the money and role over the contract automatically. Do not pay them any more money and just keep telling them that their contract is invalid.

Possibly a young person not controlled by parent.

rang mine and then the next number in the office. Same as above, someone on the other end was talking to someone else, hung up as soon as I answered.

This number called me today and asked for me by name. Line was quiet for 3 seconds after I said hello and the person spoke sounded like a male with a funny voice so probably used some equipment to diguise their real voice to sound posh. After they said my name I replied "Cor you sound really posh how you doing?" Then they hung up. Would have kept call going longer but I had things to do so couldn t continue.

Automated phishing call saying my credit card paid £600 to a foreign country. Instructed to press 1 to allow or stop the payment. Needless to say I did a 1471 before the second call could be made from a unlisted number; people will fall for this one

An automated voice purporting to be from my broadband provider saying had been trying to contact me. I hung up immediately.

I just block all these numbers without answering

Almost certainly a scammer. These calls use spoofed numbers and originate outside the UK. The scammers can spoof any number they want. Block the number if you have the facility.

Claim to be a company dealing with my accident claim - asked them what my name is and he couldn t answer. Told him politely I have never had an accident and to remove my number from their database !!

This is an Indian call centre which asks you to do a quick survey which they add that they re not calling to sell you anything - as soon as you say that you re not interested they hang up.. the thing is, they call you the next day saying the exact same thing!!!

I was interrupted by the same people calling again with their recorded message, telling me someone was waiting to speak to me. They can carry on waiting. After identifying this as another nuisance call - the second today - I hung up.
