From another site it's a Cardiff code and a recorded voice suggests it's an hmrc source, but number it says to ring is a 0161 No. Advice is don't ring.

Saw the random number and predicted immediately it would be an insurance scammer. Sure enough, English sounding girl on the phone asking about recent accident. I told her I don t want to participate in her scam. She paused a few seconds and told me she was just calling from an insurance company (didn t actually say a company name). I told her no she wasn t. Appears to be a scam. Automated ringer claimed to be inland revenue and threatened legal action.
This is a genuine Santander Fraud Department number. However I suggest you always call your bank using the number on the back of your Debit/Credit Card to check. This what I did and it was confirmed my Debit Card was being used by criminals, so needed cancelling and replacing.

asked for me by name and had details of an old card that I had used. Stated from GoGuardian - an app to stop cold callers. Informed him I had TPS and that was not stopping them. Got a raised voice response. TPS let calls in from unused numbers and mostly from overseas. Told him not free to talk, then checked on line.. Number relates to a restaurant in Weston Super Mare. So ihe was talking a load of crap. When are these scammers going to give up.
