Got a call today from this number, the chap told me he was calling from a PC support company and was calling about my support case. I asked him which PC as I have several, is it personal or business related, he said personal I then asked which make / model? no response he then asked if I was at home, I responded does it matter if I am on the internet and if there was a support issue and he could prove I had raised a support case I could grant him access at this point he put the phone down. Voicemail left, then when called back abusive person on the phone saying that police listening in and that 'personal tax' was owed (no such thing for employed people in UK as tax handled by employer).
I am moving from BT because of horrific service. I received a short automated message from BT - stating that they were taking over my line. I called to query this. The guy who answered verified my number, but it was not my number. I told him it was not mine and he abruptly hung up. I called back - the second call handler couldn’t understand the situation and became annoyed and hung up. My phone rung again and it was a scam call centre from abroad offering to cover my washing machine but I was to pay today.
