Got the same call today from an Indian woman called "Jennifer Janet" (like f*ck)stating I had viruses. She would fix them and also upgrade my internet service! (ha ha). I played along with her until she asked me to press certain buttons on my keyboard. I pretended to do so, and when she asked "what message is displayed", that is when I tore into her calling her a scamming Indian ****** and to f*ck off! she hung up! I got a text from what looked like my bank (Santander), saying a lot of money was being taken from my account. It gave this number 03333443057 to call. I called, and they answered HSBC ! I said I thought I was calling Santander, they said I work for both banks (yeah, right!). I said let me have your name and department, I ll call my bank and ask to be put through to you, at which point they promptly hung up.
