Telemarketing SCAM Without really paying attention to the 020 London code I answered the call this morning. A pleasant well spoken English lady asked me how I was. I relpied, I'm well, thank you. I proceeded to asked, who am I speaking too? She stated that she was calling from a claims agency and my tone soon changed... 'You were in a car crash in the last 2 years, is that correct?' It s healthharmonie it called to arrange my ultrasound appointment.
SCAM Man called Oliver with Nigerian accent said he was calling from BT about my internet speed. Asked me to go onto my computer and press ctrl and some other buttons together. Didn't even switch the computer on just went along with him and said nothing is happening. He ended up getting very cross and swearing at me think he might have guessed I was stringing him along. Number now blocked.

I received a call from this number at 5.15 ish am 0191 4171380 after a while phone went dead, I rang back phone answers then went dead, just like comments above.

I was called by a bike company (WIggle) to confirm my order details before they sent the product i had ordered
SCAM Had these people phone me up on another number pretending to be the national crime agency, using an automated message. When rumbled and blocked they tried again using this number to pretend to be an insurance broker, again using the same tactics with an automated message which made it obvious that it was the same people. Do not trust, just block them.

Calling me to follow up a PPI claim from a few weeks ago(which never happened) I didn t give them any details but they already knew a few things about me (name,home & mobile no. And what bank I use!) Asked me to give more info (card details, previous addresses) scam if I ever see one!!

Got a call from this number claiming to be from my Mobile Phone provider offering an upgrade. As I am on a PAYG tariff (satisfactory for my needs) I politely declined their offer and hung-up. If and when I want or need an upgrade I will decide which Company to approach.
Called, asked if I wanted to give up smoking (I don t smoke). I hung up and added the number to the barred caller list...!

SCAM Pretending to be virgin media and saying that your broadband is going down every day. Very bad English.
Don t answer this number because 1) They re trying it on and once they know you will respond you will receive further calls from other numbers too. 2) If you answer from abroad as I did you will be charged even though they cut the call off as soon as you do answer. I was charged 50p for a 1 second call The moral is don t answer if you don t know the callers ID. I save these bogus numbers in my phone so I know not to ever answer again. I will never answer any call from an 0151 number any more.
