A woman called Sarah from telephone blocking services called my elderly father asking him for bank details, which unfortunately he did give.That bank card has now been stopped. She then called my father 2 more times but threatened him that his BT telephone would be cut off if he he didn’t pay. Its my belief that this is a scam warn other family members not to give out any bank details to cold callers or anyone over the phone!

I have had repeated call about 10 per day from the same number, 2 types of calls 1. as per above , that i owe money on credit cards 2. that the government has set up an scheme where they are freezing monthly interest payments on CC or store cards and if you have these cards you can just make a monthly payment to them instead . as i am a financial advisor i keep them talking for ages (appearing to be a bit non financial) after all it runs up their phone bill, then i wrap them in knots using my knowledge,

I, too, am TPS registered - and my details are not listed on the version of the electoral register available for purchase, either. I suppose this shows how much good either does in preventing junk calls. I keep my landline unplugged when not in use as I receive so many PPI calls on that!
