Absolute scam. Claimed to be from OpenReach told me they would switch the internet off for 72 hours as our IP address was public and it was a GDPR issue. When I told them to make our IP address private as they actually own the internet, they told me they couldn't. I had to run a software on my laptop to do it. Literally do not do anything they say!

Claims to be HMRC, threatening legal action, textbook scam call center based in India, gets angry and curses at you when you don't treat them like they expect to be treated :)

This number 01133100118 which shows as Leeds rang me & offered to beat my network provider by 30% without knowing who i was with, 5 minutes later the same man (john) rang me again with the same offer, this time the number 01143560006 came up as Sheffield. Leeds to Sheffield in less than 5 minutes is pretty fast so i think these numbers are being spoofed from a computer.

A SCAM - be very careful as the person on the phone will try to get you to download a programme called "anydesk.com" which gives remote access to your computer. In my case the person said he was from SKY and was checking on my report on bad internet signal (that part was true). He took me through a few dialogue boxes (thankfully I knew that I was not changing settings). He then tried to get me to download the programme. Thankfully I questioned it. He hung up. Vende móviles y ordenadores portátiles en milanuncios.com y Wallapop, pero cuando contactas con él te dice que prefiere hacer envío y no quiere quedar en persona. Te dice que le hagas el pago por transferencia o Bizum. Una vez que pagas, no te manda el producto, te bloquea el WhatsApp y no te contesta las llamadas. Es un timador latino de Madrid.
