I was charged ?18 in June and a further ?30 in July for a series of texts (?6 per texts) on my mobile bill. Recruitment agency calling about jobs etc

This was a recorded message to say illegal activity had been on my internet which would be cut off in 24 hours. I was to press 1 to speak to someone. Clearly an attempt to get into my computer so cut it off.

They said I filled out a survey in the street and have won a holiday. Said I didn t want it, had to be a catch somewhere. Complete nuisance. Phoned four times before I picked up.

Phone rang and automated voice said this is a call for (my name) if you can take the call press 1. Then it went to hold music. Then a guy answered from CARS and said hello and asked for the first line of my address. I asked who the company was and why they needed my address. He said it was for security. I said I wasn t giving details until they told me why. They said a business associate of mine had passed on my details. I asked who. Phoned up and ask for a person said wrong number and then started to ask is this ()()() address I said wrong number and then ask me can i have your detail to change the computer I told them don ot give out personal detail and hang up.

Called today 18/9. was unable to answer, no message left, so no idea who they were.

Appears to be an Internet Service provider scam - claiming to cut your service within 24 hours.

My wife answered and a recorded message said it HMRC and that they had a case against us. She tried phoning back, but it was a pre recorded message again. This is utter rubbish....
