Phoned my landline on 20 Jan. 2023 pertaining to be from Amazon Prime and stating that they had taken £94 from my bank account. I was offered a number of options to query this but hung up as it was obviously a hoax call. Amazon Prime would not contact in this way. They tried again on 21 Jan., this time from a different number 01216834924.

Indian sounding female with lots of outside sounding background noise Asked for me by name I asked why was she calling and she said something about insurance I asked her to remove my details from her system and not to call me again She agreed I blocked the number

The number = 01709889223, this number phoned me today (at 13:08 on 1st March 2022) and the caller stated they were from BT OUTBOUND ringing about my telephone. They were indian, male and middle aged, they identified themselves as John Martin. I am ex-directory and my phone is registered with the telephone preference service to block sales calls and unwanted calls. I checked online and the number was listed as Indian and Rotherham based. Scam Automated “From Amazon” call advising my account is about the be renewed for £79.99 Hung up as it’s clearly a fake/scam call.

Caller said my bank account had 2 lots of unusual activity and to press 1 to cancel the transaction. I put the phone down.
