Sent a text about a PPI claim and how I could either get a pack or end it so I just blocked them.
Scottish lady asking to confirm my address and date of birth, I then asked who she was calling from when she said PRA group. I said I was not prepared to give my details and asked them to remove my telephone number. She said thats not possible as its regarding a business issue so we will call back another time. I said you will get the same answer no matter when you called back. She said thats fine we will just call back another time. I shall be reporting them to OFCOM as this is illegal.

SCAM / SPAM The last two digits sre different but the rest of the number is the same. So I assume may be connected as could have numerous lines with a similar number just last two numbers different. Anyway it was a recorded message claiming to be from BT saying our broadband IP address had been hacked and would be switched off within 24 hours and to press 1 for more info. Answered the call the first time even though not fully convenient as 0161 looked legit. Was obviously a selling call but the caller wanted to be more insistent so I hung up. Two unanswered calls later checked this site which confirmed my suspicions. First time I have had O2 pass on data as far as I know but will complain to them on this one.
