SCAM Automated voice message saying I have been a victim of tax fraud and had to press 1 to connect the call through to HMRC otherwise the fraud would be registered in my name and I would be arrested soon!! Luckily I am not gullible but I'm sure this would trick a lot of less suspicious people.

Same here. Allegedly from TPS asking whether they had been successful in reducing the amount of international calls. I said we will find out soon and hung up. Now waiting for more calls.

Scammers!!!! They called my grandmother regarding a PPI claim, telling her in order to claim she would need to put £400 on a travel card (this was their agency 'commission' apparently), and they would come to her home (beware, they already knew her address) to exchange the travel card for her "PPI compensation cheque". Thankfully we've taught her well and she called me first to ask if I thought it was a scam.
