Man with Indian accent said his name was Ray Hamilton claiming to be calling from HMRC and said I was due nearly £500 in tax rebate. Asked for my card details but didnt give them to him as it is a scam. HMRC wouldnt ring to say you are due a tax rebate let alone ask for your card details on the phone.

I've had repeated calls from this number on both my landline and mobile. When you never answer and cut the mobile of before it finishes ringing, you'd think somebody would realise that you don't want to talk to them.

Just been called by this number. I am a receptionist for an Opticians, and they said they were from HMRC, and wanted to speak to the owner of the company regarding research. Said they wished to speak to the person who does the Income Tax for the company. I said my boss was unavailable, and could I give her a message and a number to contact them on. Person I have never met calling and demanding repeatedly to know who they are talking to and refusing to give their own name, company or reason for calling. Calls repeatedly even after declined. Get the impression she was angry and had called the wrong number thinking her partner was cheating on her or something.
Received a missed call from 01277 557 626 - phoned back as number from Brentwood where I live. No ringing, goes straight to a strange robotic voice saying "Your call is very important to us, please stay on the line while we transfer you to the next available agent" Then silence, no holding music. Hung up straight away as appears to be a bogus call - no company greeting and I doubt they ever transfer you to anyone. Just racking up your call time to get money.
Caller interested in pensions not being paid into. No reason given why they want this information.
