Yet another company asking questions about my washing machine.

The point of the scam is to find gullible people who will believe what they say. They are crooks who once they find a victim will ask them for personal details and /or credit card/bank details "So we can proceed with our refund to you" They then commit identity fraud or empty your bank account. Obviously you were the ones they were looking for for them to steal your hard earned money from. Just received a call from this number and an Asian sounding guy told me I had overpaid on my loan and could claim compensation (I ve never had a loan) when i told him this and asked to be removed from their calling list I was told to "f### off". Not a happy bunny.

Phone rang once then cut off. No doubt a scam hoping you call back & being charged a premium rate call.

It showed as an International call, but a number appeared and I also dialed 1471 to confirm this number, which seems to have a number of people in the Tamworth area with this number. Have put it on my junk calls list.

I have received five missed calls from this number so far, in the last two days. The sixth was at 06:04pm, on the 17/01/2013. It was a woman, I never caught the companies name, but she was calling from Manchester. She knew all my details and was calling on the subject of repaying loans and debts.

Did not answer call - 0808 number called during daytime - no entries for number on Google - assuming sales/marketing type call.

Called into my office at a large corporate, asking for the husband of a former colleague who left the business 2 years ago.
