Call female voice reporting that my internet connection was in danger of being disconnected. Suggested I connect to someone who could help me. I hung up.

I could hear the caller in background but no one spoke Normally these are selling something or scammers

SCAM - poor impersonation of my mobile provider (they think they know who your provider is based on the first few digits of your mobile number)

AMAZON scam! Telling me that an order has been made in my name and £300 payment has been taken from my card!!! Press 1 to speak to an operator. I pressed 1, and told the guy I was confused to the message and he hung up. The phone code is my local town but the guy was Indian. DONT GIVE OUT YOUR CARD NUMBER TO ANYONE OVER THE PHONE GUYS!!!!

According to person on other end of call, they were calling with regard to the problems I had logged with the local housing officer. I had done no such thing so this is obviously a scam call

DANGER ! Definitely Spam. Lady with Indian accent as O2 customer service telling me they had received multiple complaints about signal problem. I said I was satisfied with signal coverage. She then tried to give me a number to call back. I challenged her and told her I thought she not not legit. She started arguing. I said a real customer agent would not argue like that. Put down the phone.

Fake bank scam not a human but automated voice….wanting you to accept or decline by pressing a number….don’t bother just the usual suspects tryouts to rob you

SCAM This person didn’t know who they were speaking to ( my name). Said I was eligible for a free medical emergency pendant… I asked how they had got my number and said was given them by manager. Just kept repeating his name and same phrase and not answering questions. If this is actually a real call it’s a weird way of going about things. Asked if I was over 50 at the beginning so watch out!!

Getting threatening texts

Fraud - Rang pretending to be Starling Bank. Wanted me to open app to approve a large transaction. Was abused when I said I’m going to call directly. Posh London accent.

SCAM, someone from India pretending be calling from HMRC discussing my debts. Number blocked.

Automated HMRC message saying that legal action was being taken.

BANK SCAM, SAYING TWO UNAUTHORISED BANK PAYMENTS ...... I IMMEDIATELY BLOCKED THE NUMBER 01788 814596!!

Caller stated they were from virgin media and there was corruption on my router, they stated they would disconnect my internet due to the corruption if i didnt let them help me fix it. I have since called virgin media who confirms they have not called me

Scam caller claiming to be from Virgin. The call was made by an official sounding call centre (the woman sounded Indian). She claimed that there has been suspicious activity from unknown IP addresses using my account and that it was being used for criminal activity and that she needed to help me protect my firewalls etc. I immediately became suspicious as I'd heard of such calls being made and told her that I'd call Virgin directly to resolve any issues. He bought a product and didn’t pay money! Reported him to the police! If it happened to you, report him too!!!

Recorded message purporting to be from VISA security advising of two debits to my card, and asking my to press a number to speak to them. Lack of customer name or even name of card issuer made call to generic to be legit, so looks like a scam. However since number is a landline looks like the recorded number is also bogus
