Her Majesty's Inspector of taxes would not phone if there was an issue. They would write to you. They know your address, but fraudsters and scammers like this do not. Do not press to accept the call. if you do they will know the number is in use an probably sell your number on to more scammers.
Just had a call from this number, an asian lady called Kate Brown(???) who said that my IP address was being used by others around the world so they will be cancelling user licence on my IP address. The second option was they will talk me through how to block so I wont be compromised. Told her that I was computer illiterate and could she ring back later and speak to my hubby. No idea tbh, the Google map location says “North Devon Valeting” I assume they have gone bust due to the covid scam and been taken over by a call centre/scammer. I have been getting calls four or more times a day from mobile and landlines for weeks, so I no longer pick up any calls that are not in my contacts.
