on 22 june the above number 0161 8735544 rang my son and said that an amount of ?1500.00 was waiting to be claimed fir whiplash for a accident he had in 2009 foulishly he gave them details including his mobile phone number and said they will ring him on monday 25th june to follow this up. Namely it solicits the person receiving the call to press 1 on their phones to seek help in avoiding Internet cut off within a timeslot of 4hrs usually. Needless to say there is no real problem pending and by pressing 1 the unwary may be frightened into giving bank details eg to pay delivery charge for new router. PLEASE HANG UP. I wish they would leave a voicemail message when they ring. I just missed their call and as there was no message I assumed it was a scam call. we get a lot and would never ring the number back unless there was a message left saying who it was and why they were ringing. but I would ring 150 from the landline if I'd known it was virgin regarding my problem. only trouble is that you can be waiting for over an hour before you get an answer! not happy with virgin at all.

Scam. Recording with female voice threatening jail for customs & tax avoidance. Follow up call from number with similar digit pattern (0766) an hour previously. Hung up & blocked.
The advisor said they take on personal injury claims (only the minor discomfort kind). Put me through to their internal solicitors. I confirmed the accident details and was told to sign documents that will be sent by email. Got around to the signing a few days letter and was told my claim will now be processed. Along the way i had some doubts but in the end after signing 2 docs & attending a medical close to me, i got a check of £3150. I seen all these scam comments ages ago but didnt want to comment myse

have called me 9 times now over one week pretending to be from E-On when i challenged him he said he would change my account and send me a very large bill that would go by DD, i ve phoned E-On and they have said it most definatly is not from any one at E-On
