Being called on my mobile often (5 times in last week. Never when I can answer it.

Had this call 11.30 today. Well spoken young man says " I hope i ve got the right number, can i speak to Mr (My Surname)". . .i ask which one as there are three Mr (My Surname) at this address. He then shouts something garbled down the phone and hangs up! 07712657744 is now well and truly BLOCKED!!

apparently i have been involved in a recently been involved in a motor vehicle accident etc according to this caller who gave her name as laura.....hung up blocked the number...

My mother-in-law has just found a charge for ?99.99 on her Barclays statement. I ve just spoken to the bank and they have been 100% helpful and have agreed to refund her ASAP. When mum-in-law initialy went into the bank to query the transaction they told her that it was a holiday company and assisted her to call them. I was getting calls from this number daily. I blocked it and then started getting calls from 0121 389 0867. This is blocked and suspect it ll switch to another very similar number. Just keep blocking.

The business directory phones my office about 6 times a day. Most of the time they wait until I answer before they simply hang up. Other times they ask for my company details. This number called with message about "every house needs to be done by 2016" plus "we are in your area" last week - some solar panel scam. Didn t answer - the message is recorded on my answerphone. Same message from 01316483485 yesterday - same result. This lot have probably rented fake numbers from a major phone company which offers them on its web site. Some firms offer call centres numbers which give the person called the idea that it is a local call.
