Yes, they are still operating and looks like they are having a New Year hunt for more people to con, as several friends have had calls from them over the past few days. I take great delight in stringing them along for as long as possible, listening to them get more and more frustrated as I keep asking questions about their blocking box . Guy calling himself Michael keeps calling my mothers home and telling her she is owed over ?3000 and to call this number.I have told her it is a scam so now she justs plays dumb and has a nice chat with him until he hangs up.
A cheerful sounding bloke says "This is you're local energy supplier, how are you this morning?" or words to that effect. Had the exact same call at my Mum's the other day, put the phone down in either case, as our real energy suppliers actually have names!
Unsolicited call. Do not waste your time answering. Caller left voicemail about "accident in which you were entirely innocent, is that right?" Block and report!

Claimed to be a county court enforcement officer wanted me to make a BACS transfer over the telephone for a debt that was disputed years ago. Was very convincing but it is a scam. Genuine High Court Enforcement Officers (HCEOs) and Certificated Enforcement Agents (CEAs) would never ask for sort code or account number over the telephone.
Some one who called himself Christian then Steven phoned about my non existent washing machine cover. I've already had an 'Asian' call center annoying me today, so I told 'Christian-Steven' what to do with himself, he seemed to enjoy enraging me and called back twice more. Who pays for these calls?
