Caller said name was PERRY HUTHES asked numerous personal questions managed to get my mum and dad's ages and details about house security before my mum managed to get the phone off Dad. suggested working with Warwickshire police - vague enough to not be an outright lie wanted to get someone into the house for a sales visit. hard sell rather than scammer I think, but still very annoying and careful probing for personal details set the alarm bells ringing.

It’s a scam! Told me they had noticed an unusual amount for £1100.00 had been taken from my account. Said they wanted to verify that I had spent it, which I hadn’t but they wanted me to confirm account details.I asked who them to repeat who they were and they said from visa. I then knew it was a scam as I don’t have a visa account.

They will sign you up on a completely different deal than agreed initially with the most expensive phone available. They use several phone numbers some of them on Whatsapp. Also will e-mail an order confirmation from an address that seems genuine. It's not. After receiving the parcel they will try to convince you to send the phone back to some shady residential address. Avoid!

SCAM I believe A woman, sounding Indian, pretending to be from BT OpenReach about my internet quality We don't buy our internet from BT I suspect this was one of those "we have discovered traffic on your line caused by viruses and need to log in to your computer to fix it" scam calls. Called claiming to be Curry’s Pc World acting on behalf of network providers giving customers better deals. Phoned Curry’s to check legitimacy and they informed me this is definitely a scam as they don’t even have an outbound sales call team anymore and don’t act under the Currys Pc World name anymore, just ‘Curry’s’.
