Caller asked if I could hear him and when I said: I can yes, he hung up. When I tried phoning the number it was blocked.

Called me at a1049 on 6th October 2020. Saying inland revenue are chasing me for tax evasion and I should ring back on this number, definitely do not ring them. This is a hoax. Inland revenue do not make these types of calls. You will be charged at premium rates and be kept in the phone, while you get a huge bill for that call.

Just had a text message from this number, claiming to be from my eldest child. Stated Hey Dad, this is my new number, my phone just broke. You can delete my old number and save this one. Aggressive call left a message. Computerised voice saying it was extremeley time sensitive abd if i didnt call sarah wilson back i better get ready for action. I was also told to get a solicitor asap.looked on this site and another victim said they called hmrc and its not a call from them.
Also, I just tried phoning the number back and it doesn't even exist - so somehow the scammer is making out that they are phoning from a local number to look more legit.
I got a call at work and a female welsh voice said `I understand you are under 60 years old and therefore you qualify for a pensions bonus payment of £1,000 which you will receive within the next 60 days. Mistakenly answered - it simply clicked off - presumably adding our number to endless harrassers' databases. Luckily, another call I'd missed is also now continually dialling dailly (despite answering), so I can safely (once more) ignore them all. I remember when the phone used to be a means of communication, rather than intrusion - targeting the most vulnerable. This one's probably dangerous.

who is this and where did they get my number from?? i did get someone at the other end earlier today , they mumbled something, called me by a name then the line went dead. I can only assume that whoever was on the other end was a complete arsehole and i would not want to speak to him again anyway. time the authoroties got a grip with these cold callers and put a stop to it. telephone preference registration is a complete waste of time!!!
