Unknown caller ringing a TPS registered domestic telephone number. No message left on answerphone so presumably an illicit sales call, a scammer or another 'survey'.

A call from Carphone warehouse, using a LOCAL code - ie - 01324 trying to deceive you into thinking it s a local call. You answer, and it s OBVIOUSLY a CALL Centre (by all the noise in the background) and on questioning the guy, is clearly NOT in the Falkirk area. This type of local call is being used more and more.

Called from 01245 407320 Unsolicited call from these cowboys today ( 25 Oct 2014). Despite my number being on the TPS, they asked for me by name. My wife wouldn t put the call thru to me until they confirmed what they wanted to ask me about. The caller refused to confirm this, so wifey hung up on them. This number shows as International and 01274792012... Said it was a quick survey, I asked where they got my details from and they said public source. They knew my name, address, postcode and phone number. Fairly obvious that they are identifying opportunities for onward selling. I think the only reason I have a home phone these days is for junk/spam calls. Another one for the block list.
