01877 is the local code for my village when I answered the call it was a recorded message from Amazon Prime. Was this a scam call? Could be dangerous.

Scam caller claiming to be from Virgin. The call was made by an official sounding call centre (the woman sounded Indian). She claimed that there has been suspicious activity from unknown IP addresses using my account and that it was being used for criminal activity and that she needed to help me protect my firewalls etc. I immediately became suspicious as I'd heard of such calls being made and told her that I'd call Virgin directly to resolve any issues. If this is as others say ..Everest. that company went bust in 2019 and is now called everest 2020. They still owe or Chapel more than 4k deposit back. I have had this number blocked since last year because it kept ringing and there was nothing there . It just came up again as a blocked call today.. and yesterday. It was not ghe number I had as a contact for Everest or Everest 2020.

This number has repeatedly phoned me, but not left a message (and phoning the number gives "you have dialled an incorrect number". Strongly suspect it is call from 'Beneficial' in which case it is either a scam call or, at best, a harassing call.

I called this number back and linked to an answering machine which informed me I was calling Friends Of The Earth. I never continued the call so I can not say whether it was a 'safe' number or not.

SCAM. Allegedly from HER Majesty's Revenue and Customs. 1st clue - HER Majesty has been dead for 10 months. 2nd clue The recorded message was made with an American accent. Doubt very much that HRMC have sub-contracted this to the Americans (yet).

Check your bank statements after receiving a call from these scammers, they will enrol you even if you decline their offer. All connected to Easylife & the DRMG group & will use your bank account details that you submitted when you purchased from Easylife !
