Sent text message to my mobile claiming to be from BT - then asked name and BT number. I refused further information on the grounds that BT already have my address and was given some unbelievable story about my mobile number having come up in some other context. Two hours later, the same message arrived on my wife s mobile. Clearly some sort of scam but I do not know what.

14 calls in three days.....rude and threatening...was told that they ignore TPS!!! Blocked

GDPR has no relevance to these calls which use spoofed numbers, originate outside the UK and are untraceable. NEVER TRY TO RETURN A CALL to an unknown number and NEVER PRESS ...

this person trys to con you out of money ny say ypu have won ypur claim for ppi if they ring ypu call the police straight away

"We re calling because Unite the union has arranged for all of its members to have a free PPI check". Haven t heard of this from the union. He didn t give his company name. To be fair, he was pleasant and said thanks and goodbye as soon as I said I wasn t interested. Blocked the number now.

Numerous calls from this number to my mobile, on the one time I answered they were rude & wanted to talk about an accident I have never had! Have now blocked and reported to UK police for criminal investigation and trace to identify and speak to company directors.

male caller quoted guessed personal information and insisted I had agreed to some sort of "Cash back" sheme, having discussed it at my door 2 months ago - wanted to confirm my postcode etc. When I denied ever speaking or agreeing to this he hung up on me mid conversation

Reported to be from Homeserve but in my Opinion if really Homeserve and you have an account with them, they would write to you rather the phone to make you an offer of a lower rate. Most likely sme sort of scam

received a call from this number, left no message. i did not respond read the details on this site which reinforced my decision as the right one

answered the call, there was a noise in the background like a call centre, then the caller rang off. I shall report to the ICO asap
