This number called this morning and the recorded message must have started before the answerphone greeting had finished with the result that I only got a very small part of the message left. "BT" phoned to say been trying to phone me (received no calls in days) and due to "Suspicious activity" are going to disconnect by Internet unless I talk to an operative, who spent 15 minutes calling my 80 year old father some swear words for his lack of internet knowledge and no online bank account.

lots of calls from Crime Prevention company they will just not give up even trying to con a colleague into saying yes when I have already told them no!!! Had similar experience previously by a different name and they actually only ever printed 12 copies of their newspaper which we had been asked to advertise in! This is how they can seem legal. These con-men need to be stopped

Man with Indian accent said his name was Michael. Claimed to be from BT Open Reach. (I didn’t think they were contactable) Local Shaftesbury number. He then asked me how I am today. It didn’t seem very professional. I felt uneasy about this so I rang off.
Silent call. Answered the phone and they hung up.

We had this as well, regularly until about a year ago. We also are not with Scottish Gas, although we are with British Gas. They also left regular automated messages about meter...
Missed call on landline but on checking this number is unrecognised. Got to be a scam of some sort!!
Completely fed up with these calls, why they keep calling because I never answer, if they are calling regarding PPI, am not likely to be in for a refund, as I have never borrowed money in my life can t afford it do without.
