Started by asking for my wife. Told her she wasn't in. Then confirmed my name, said he was offering a call blocker for unrecognised calls for free. Mentioned that I paid for my phone bill by direct debit (who doesn't?) and then listed a load of banks, none of them mine. When I laughed he got annoyed and asked why. When I told him I didnt have any banks of that name, did he just want my sort code and account number, he was talking over me and telling me to listen!!! Cut him off. Be warned.

Scammer trying to get access to computer.
Called on Saturday morning by someone with an Indian asian accent tel no 0808 1450360. He claimed to be from Halifax bank and said that the bank needed me to discuss serious matters concerning my account... I have had 7 calls in the last 24 hours from 3 different numbers all claiming to be this company
Insurance, possible SCAM. Jimmy (Indian) called from Utility Hub to say that, because I hadn't made any callouts from my (non-existent) cover for a lot of things, I was entitled to a discount on my (non-existent) direct debit. He then passed me to Emma (again Indian) who, when I said that I couldn't trace Utility Hub , told me to see Heating and Home), whose website looks quite genuine. I listened patiently until she asked me to confirm my sort code, when I told her that she wouldn't get any bank details.

Phoned to tell me that i had a ?4,000 loan and i was due a refund once told him i never had on he started to become very rude and abrupt.
