This company repeatedly harasses me with these messages from different numbers, despite me being registered with TPS and BT's Call Protect. I always report the calls to Ofcom - about time action was taken to shut them down.

This number seems to be used for a classical telemarketing, or it is a directly some general call centre. They usually work for some third company and call with offer of some goods or services for the actual company they were hired for. In this case the number is mostly reported in connection with Harringtons advisory Gt Manchester - PPI

Well this is some landline from Manchester area, I couldn't find any info for this specific number, but there are two facts : people do search for this number which can be seen from different similar pages, and there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. Similar numbers are reported with PPI and insurance marketing. People pls did someone answer this number, can you confirm?
