SCAM - Claiming to be from Amazon to say money has been deducted from your account and they want you go go onto Google to give your details in the meantime, the caller is aggressive, telling you that you are an idiot for not doing what they want you to do. These are really unintelligent people.
Caller with this loo local to me number is from India or some place he has an Indian/Pakistani accent and is saying he is from the government and I am entitled to a free boiler, how does he know? He doesn't know me or my circumstances and is a danger to vulnerable people

SCAM Asian sounding woman said she was from Virgin Media - they see problems with my broadband. I had the same call yesterday from a different number. They cannot prove they are from Virgin and try to get you to do the ASSOC command or similar so they can prove they know what they're doing.

SCAM This is a call centre saying it is a courtesy call due to an appliances warrantee expiring, on this instance it was a washing machine, so quite believable. They wanted £65 per year for another 3 years full cover. It sounded very genuine until she said that she wanted me to tell her the name and make of my appliance and i said that i was ok and didn't want to renew the warrantee as i'd had it for over 5 years, then they just hung up and the line went dead. Recorded message purportedly from HMRC. Apparently I owe them money ( I don’t by the way). I recently had a similar call from a different number to my landline, also supposedly from HMRC but that one was telling me there was a warrant out for my arrest for non payment of tax! Too ridiculous for words but anyone who is vulnerable could easily be frightened by calls like this.
