Incoming call. "This is HMRC. Fraud has been committed in your name. Press 1 to be connected. If you do not, you will be arrested shortly" or words to that effect. If you don't press 1, nothing happens and then you get cut off. This seems like a fraudsters way of weeding out the less gullible who will merely waste their time challenging their BS.

SCAM 01614303899 called me at 08:45 left it ringing until the call screening kicked in and they hung up straight away - probably someone else answered the mass calling device that was probably doing the dialling and the called tried to engage that poor unsuspecting victim. Typical nuisance call.

Caller identified himself as energy savings company in Great Yarmouth, and asked if I was home owner. I told him I d had a call from them a week ago and had said I wasn t interested in solar panels. He then tried to interest me in energy savings from govt scheme for new efficient boilers. Repeatedly offered me a free evaluation which I declined, then he hung up (politely) when he saw he wasn t persuading me.

I have had 3 calls from this number all claiming to BT and requesting I log in for a variety of reasons, first I had a problem with the internet, Secondly they put the phone down when I took the phone from the missus and today apparently my internet was going to be cut off in 3 days. They put the phone down when I requested they tell me what my IP address was. Can t think why. Do not under any circumstances allow them remote access!!!

And when we were having our tea, the house rang with this number and when we didn t answer it the mobile rang....this makes you think it is an urgent call???!!!! DO NOT GIVE ANY DETAILS! Telemarketing Possibly telemarketing, possibly a scam/fraudulent. A woman called (I'd missed a call yesterday) and told me she was from a company whose name I didn't catch - she wouldn't repeat it. After I made it clear she hadn't got my number from 'a page' I signed up to, and asked for a call from, she berated me for wasting HER time 'because I'm working'.... Refused to say where she got my number from, carried on getting pissy and eventually hung up. After wasting a lot of MY time: she cold-called me!
