Said they were SKY, and knew i was ViP customer trying to offer a better deal. I went along with it as far as first and last name, once they asked for my address i said you are Sky you should know this already so I hung up. If it is genuine then i dont think they went about it the right way. If they are not, then i am happy i hung up.

SCAM/SPAM. I was called on the 26/08/20 by this number. The caller said they were from SKY (my TV, telephone and broadband provider). He informed me that he was ringing to test my modem and improve its performance. He asked me to type a few commands which included the word “SKY”. He then asked me to permit remote access. Non-native English speaker asked for someone I ve never heard of, then wanted the lady of the house instead. Hung up but they rang back two hours later. Complained to TPS.
