I get a daily call despite being registered with TPS. I don t answer it. So pensions have replaced PI for an excuse for telemarketing "companies" to harrass you :-(
Female caller with an Asian accent rang from this number twice today. Said she was from Benefits UK. I asked who Benefits UK is, and she replied "A company", and wanted to ask me some questions, which would only take a couple of minutes. I replied that I do not answer questions over the phone, and she hung up. A couple of hours later, the number rang again, and my daughter answered. She told the caller that our number is ex directory and that we are TPS registered. Again, the caller hung up.

Scum of the Earth. Scam call claiming that your internet is being cut off and trying to get you to press 1 on keypad. I work for that internet provider and can GUARANTEE you this is not genuine. I hope these people are found and prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

SCAM / SPAM This was an English speaking polite male telling me that the Government funded insulation in my loft could be causing damage to my property and he wanted to arrange a visit to examine it. Fortunately before the call went any further he mentioned the "foam insulation" and when I said it was not foam in my loft he rang off. OBVIOUSLY A SCAM. He didn't get round to asking for bank details but I am sure he would have it I hadn't realised what he was up to.

Fraud Some absolute cabbage tried to send me a text message saying they were unable to process my latest payment for O2. I don't have an account with O2. Keep calling even tho I didn t answer, when the son accidently answered cos I wasn t near the phone he told me who thery were. It is no use you asking/telling them to remove your number because they don t. I actually changed my number for this reason, and guess what? today they tried ringing my new number.
