Said he was from BT Open reach and he needed to turn off my router in 1 hour as it shows many unauthorised IP addresses going through it! I asked for the location he was calling...

This was someone pretending to want to renew insurance on the washing machine that they claimed was in my wife's name.

Reported to be from Homeserve but in my Opinion if really Homeserve and you have an account with them, they would write to you rather the phone to make you an offer of a lower rate. Most likely sme sort of scam

They are trying to do a job, but I asked the guy to end the call 3 times and take me off the list. After being rung several times.

Scammers..... hang up .... do not talk to them .... get threating when you don't play ball !!!!!

Call twice a day but only ring for one second then they cut the line.

They keep calling me from different numbers, but I block them. They keep leaving an automated computer voicemail. Almost every day they call for a debt that is over 7 years old.
