Called by a Welsh lady saying they were handing out free grants for loft insulation -- did I have loft insulation? I immediately smelt a rat & asked who was calling. She simply said "a grant company". I asked what their name was. She was very evasive but eventually said "Nationwide Energy." I asked what their address was but said she didn t know(!). Woman said she was from the Stockport energy centre and I had been awarded a grant. Just hung up, lies - lies and more lies. Another con artist try to extort money from people by use of the phone. One more number for my call blocker

This number called my mobile. Before I could answer it rang off. On phoning it from landline it is unobtainable. Possible scam of some sort?

Almost certainly a scammer. Use the call-blocking system on your mobile or your landline if your provider offers this.

The caller didn t give her name even though I asked. She said she wanted to speak to Mrs (name not understood) when I asked her to repeat I still didn t know who she was asking for, but for sure not my name. I said she had a wrong number and she hung up.

Woman phoned me and put me straight through to colleague after saying hello not even telling me who they was.
