Said they were calling from Domestic and General - a company we do have an account with already. Said we were a valued customer and had qualified for a discount. Said we were already covered for our TV Satellite equipment etc. We knew this was incorrect. They said we were already paying £10 by DD. Not True. Rang twice today . First time I didn`t answer as I didn`t recognise the number. Second time picked up phone but didn`t say anything and they rang off.
SPAM - this caller asked for our acocunts department, refused to say what it was about because of data protection then when he was told we were not interested he called back 4 times trying to get someone else - harassing in my book.
SCAM: In coming call from this number that went to VM - automated voice to say that an arrest warrant had been issued in my name. Avoid

I received an automated call...the usual thing: press 5 if you re interested, 9 to unsubscribe from our database. For a change, I pressed 5 because I wanted to find out how I got ON their database in the first place. They rang off, but someone from "YouCall" left a message for me later saying that they would deal with my query if I rang back on 01902 440156.

Caller hung up when I tried to verify who they were. The phone number is listed by Ofcom as not valid, so must be criminals.

Caller claimed to be from BT openreach calling about internet issues. They asked me to run a speed test and when I said I had 69 download and 18 upload they said that the difference was an issue. When I pointed out that it was always like that, and wasn't supposed to be the same they hung up. Obviously a scam.

Very well spoken male gave his name as Christian informed me my washing machine insurence had expired and he was calling with regard to me renewing it. I was suspicious of this and asked the name of his company which he informed me was White Goods UK. As I have never heard of them I asked which washing machine and he said theBosch.
