An automated message comes up saying the call is from HM Revenue & Customs, gives you a case file number, and says if you ignore the call, you will face legal applications. Then asks you to press 1 to speak to an adviser. The advisor distantly says she is calling from the HMRC and asks for your name. When I asked her where are you calling from again, she hung up.

This is a scam. Number repeatedly calls, leaving broken voicemail message, starting: "...county courthouse" and inviting you to call back. On returning the call the individual answering identified themselves as HMRC and proceeded to ask for personal details. When I said I wasn't prepared to give any personal details over the phone, they told me to "get lost" and hung up. Be wary out there folks!

Someone named Clive Roberts rang me from this number today 4/11/15 at 11am stating he was calling on behalf of 02. He said he was offering a promotion that 02 were providing. He asked me the usual how much am i paying for my payg per month, i was vague in my answers. My new phone number means nothing to me, I don't respect it as it doesn't want to be remembered by me, it's been two years now. supposedly an insurance firm!! I have just reported them to the TPS as I have had a preference service on m line since 2006! this is the 3rd call they have made so as far as I m concerned its aggressive cold calling, if they were a decent company they would have done proper research and wouldn t be making calls to a line with a preference service on it.
