This number called me from somewhere near Preston. I don’t know anyone there. They rang off after a couple of rings, not giving me a chance to answer. Possible spam/scam.
They re not UK numbers, so UK authorities have no jurisdiction over where or who they are.
Is this number pest control
This is a scam number pretending to be from the "ONS" (Office of National Statistics) for a telephone interview following on from the National Census form completion. It was from a letter from the so called ONS but the phone number was written by hand. The letter also contained genuine numbers for the ONS to give it a realistic authenticity. They try to get you to pay a fine/ empty your bank account.

They call to say I issues with my BT broadband but then got VERY abusive when i told him my number was registered with tps and he was breaking the law and that I was wasting his time as he was mine. I m a "Richard Head" and a "female dog" amongst other names.

Scam text purporting to be from British Gas saying they have made an appointment for me. I did not respond but then had several texts on the day they said the appt had been made saying they were on their way but might be late! No-one turned up I'm pleased to say. I don t have any policies, this is a pest call. I had a call two days ago from a woman claiming to be from the MORI poll, tried to get me to sign up to EDF and give out information on what insurance policies I have. Suspect they are linked. Another one for the blocked number list!
