I recieved a call from a company introducing themselves as Energy Helpline and stated that they were looking to help me out on my Home Phone and Broadband bills. They convinced me to switch to another provider and that I had to pay an amount upfront for an activation fee? Is this normal? Then they stated they had a power cut as soon as I gave those details and they then had to ring me back? Sounds suspicious if you ask me, it has been an hour now. What is happening???

This number calls at least twice a day. Around the same time between 1pm and 2pm. The number isnt a number i know so i do not answer. They never leave a voucemail either.

I answered a call from this number but it was quiet on the other line then hang up on me. This number has been ringing me numerous times now, no voicemail or text. Beware.

Someone called me from this number this morning and I answered. He said that he was phoning in regard to a recent survey that had done with regard to debts and wanting to reduce the amount paying. He knew my name but did not introduce himself or who he was workingfor. As soon as I told him I had not filled any survey online he hung up. I tried to ring the number back but it went through to an Orange answerphone that message box was full.

Claimed to be Vodafone team from some company associated with Carphone Warehouse.

This recorded voice offers Government funded solar panels etc, then press 2 on keypad. I have pressed 2 to speak to the nuisance caller but only get a dialling tone

Left long message on answering mach. Serious law suit against me unless I rang. Robotic voice, Americanized pronunciation & legal phrases. Did not specify name of myself or partner. Again Jennifer Coleman from HMRC. They would write to named person, cause of action letter, would never leave message as don t know who would pick up. Could scare people into ringing them back. Saw the random number and predicted immediately it would be an insurance scammer. Sure enough, English sounding girl on the phone asking about recent accident. I told her I don t want to participate in her scam. She paused a few seconds and told me she was just calling from an insurance company (didn t actually say a company name). I told her no she wasn t. She said she was sorry, again I told her no she wasn t. She said she d take my number off the list. Do they even have a list or do they just randomly ma
