getting fed up with this number calling me on an almost daily basis and leaving annoying automated message telling me to press 5 etc . Who are they?

a lady and a man called me repeatedly on my direct office line asking to speak to the HR director. Politely asked them to email him and arrange a telephone conversation. Received another calls after that call. Going to ignore from now on.

Called by a Welsh lady saying they were handing out free grants for loft insulation -- did I have loft insulation? I immediately smelt a rat & asked who was calling. She simply said "a grant company". I asked what their name was. She was very evasive but eventually said "Nationwide Energy." I asked what their address was but said she didn t know(!). This number called me today, said she was calling from the Nationwide Building Society. The female Indian caller knew my name, told me my postcode and asked me to confirm if it was correct. I told her I don t have an account with Nationwide and that she s a scammer after my personal details.... then hung up on her haha!

Silence, then hung up.

Unknown as phone was I m pocket and by the time I gothink it out the phone had ended

Called at 4am, left a voicemail but I didn't listen to it, guessing it was telesales or something.

I ordered something from Argos website a few weeks ago while doing something else at the same time, and neglected to reverse the default status on the "let us sell your number to everyone" tick box. Now I m getting 2-3 calls a day from this number. My own silly fault for swimming with sharks.

this number keeps calling my uk mobile every 2:00am (+10 time zone summer time) at night with a very quick hang up. It wakes me up every night. my number rare known to anybody, so i guess it is a spy or automatically scheduled phone call by someone trying to do sth not nice
