Just received a call from this number asking if we take American Express - I advised no and asked what company they were from assuming it was a customer. He just said he was exploring opportunities for points on his cards. This number appears to be associated with American Express but it would be nice if they were honest about the reason for their call. Call back not possible as I would have asked to be removed from their database.

Someone called me and didn't talk I want to know who it was

This is a market research company called GSKNOP. I had daily hang up calls from them then eventually spoke to a human who wanted to do a 20 min financial questionnaire but gave me the Market Research Society phone number so I said if they didn t take my name/number off their data base that I d report them to the MRS. I haven t heard from them since.

i called back and it was the money shop trying to explain that there is a new government plan to help clear 70 percent of your debts.

These people have called me several times in the past few days and I picked up was saying hello for a couple of minutes before they asked for me by my surname (how they got this I want to know) and then proceeded to tell me they were wanting to ask me a survey on my home insurance. when I told them I do not own a home I live with my mum (im 23 years old) and therefor do not have home insurance the guy was like oh oh ok. This number has called repeatedly over the last few days. They say that they want to send you a free magazine and petrol vouchers and want you to pay £1 for postage using using a credit or debit card. When I told them I would not give my card detail across they just hung up. How rude. Obviously a scam watch out.

Second call received from John at computer maintenance. First time when I told him that there wasn t a computer at this number he hung up, hoped this would deter further calls. But following day different time he phoned again told him that still didn t have computer and wanted to be taken off their database at which point he hung up. Waiting to see if they ring again.

This company provides product protection/accidental damage insurance for items bought from Currys/PC World. I found the number on my credit card statement after buying a new TV. If you didn t ask for insurance then get it cancelled.

3 phone calls in 3 days from this no. Having searched this site and others to read reports of Windows scams etc. I decided to answer this one. An Asian man asked if I was Miss Christine. I said "Who? Who s calling?" He hung up, I didn t for another 3 minutes, so presumably prevented him from bothering someone else. Reporting to ICO.
