There was no third party involved, only myself, yet they keep on ringing and telling me this (presumably they want my bank details). Also, I just tried phoning the number back and it doesn't even exist - so somehow the scammer is making out that they are phoning from a local number to look more legit.

Had a phone calls from this number on 5/6/17, when I picked phone up and said 'hello', the caller rang off.
Getting several calls a day from this number which will not respond (number not known) when called back. I have a hardware blocking device which stops unwanted calls from ringing but they show on the call register nonetheless.

Pre-recorded message stating that due to unusual activity (whatever that means), my Internet Service Provider is going to suspend my Internet access. Only used for FB, shopping and school work. Sounds like a scam to me.
Claimed to be from Amazon, saying that someone had placed a £~2K order on my account and I had to push 1 or 2 to resolve the issue. Checked my account, no such order. Phoned back, got some poor woman who was at a beauty appointment. Someone is managing to get around fraud prevention by spoofing the number sources.
