SCAM purported to be from Royal Mail saying charge due for parcel delivery with a link to website. I doubt Royal Mail would use text messages like this, and how would they have your mobile number anyway? Don’t follow link even if you are expecting a parcel.

I fell for this scam from a different number before and they try push you to pay them the money you supposedly owe them. These people are NOT Inland Revenue- They are scammers!! Very fishy number. They called me but the person on the phone was a recorded message telling me to call them back. It also said if I disregarded the message I could face legal consequences. Surely, if it was that serious, a real person would be talking to me and not some recorded message. Based on the other review of that number, I won’t be called back.

Fraud: Pretends to be from HSBC Bank sending a text that someone has been authorised to receive a payment from your account. However HSBC Bank (if you have an account with them) don't give out their numbers when they call or text their customers. Also HSBC don't use this form of security check ( text warnings to set up a new payment from your a/c). The objective is probably to defraud you of your money by gaining access to your bank account - or to use the link in the message to instigate a virus infection.

Tells me I have been identified has having and industrial injury and wants to act on my behalf. I have never had such an injury. The caller uses a Merthyr Tydfil dialling code but on interrogation turns out to be a call centre in Liverpool. I explain I am a member of TPS and don t wont to be cold called. Same call the next day!.

I received a call from a chap who called himself Brady, from the Nuisance Calls Prevention Service in Brighton at 6.05pm on 26th February 2015. He told me that he was aware that I was receiving a high ratio of nuisance calls and that he was going to stop them for me... all good up to this point! He then went on to say that for ?2 per month the calls would be stopped!!!! Definitely a scammer, but what worries me is that he knew my name and ex-directory telephone number.
