Just had a call from this number. He asked to speak to the Company Director. When I said he was out and asked if I could help, he slurred/mumbled something about a Business Consultant and hung up. I didn t get either his name or the company name.

They are calling people saying that your National Insurance number may be cancelled because it was found suspicious for some illegal activities and you may be arrested. Then they ask you to hold on the line to speak with one agent and then they are going to request for money to clean your name.
I regularly get automated calls about the renewal of the Amazon prime account I don t have. This was another one. Same messages but different numbers.

SCAM Indian woman said she was from carphone warehouse doing a promotion with lots of discount off products. She then said so you have a contract then which one? I said you should already have those details if you're from carphone warehouse at which point she started to stumble and kept asking me what contact. I am called sometimes several times a day from this number with different suffixes following the 00441174090 XXX.
Some stupid cunt from Liverpool trying to get me to switch energy supplier.
Automated call to start, saying that my subscription to Amazon will auto renew at £79, and to press 1 to talk to someone about cancelling, I don't pay subscription for Amazon, I was told that it was £79 a month and that I needed to get a cancellation code and fill out a form to cancel!!! I hung up.

If you have free calls (eg free weekend and evening calls through BT) then phone them back (with 141 prefix) and tell them to check the TPS website before calling anyone. If they ask for your postcode, refuse to tell them. Also refuse to give your number, or any other information about yourself. Simply state over and over again that they are required to consult the TPS website before calling any number. If they talk over you just keep saying "Dont t talk over me, listen to me" until they stop, then tell
