I am confused by this. I recently received a call from this number about an annual service booking; the woman at the other end knew my name but wanted me to confirm my address and postcode, which I did. I agreed to a suggested date and time, and she tells me that I will be getting a call on the day to confirm. I then receive a text to confirm the appointment, and directions to the BG website to cancel or amend. Logging onto the website, I can see that there is indeed an appointment booked in my

Threatened to disconnect landline & internet unless I pressed 1 on the keypad. It was a recording because it did not cut off when the answer machine kicked in. So beware, it is a mobile number and obviously they will not come on the line until 1 is pressed.
Indian man called to tell me he was going to disconnect my broadband in 2 hours as I the broadband line was being used by 2 other outside people. Got a call from this number stating that someone had put me as a emergency contact number, and they have had a car accident. I obviously called everyone i knew to make sure they were all alright, this seems to be a SCAM.

I asked her where this accident allegedly took place and she said 'in Glasgow' and I asked when it had taken place and she said 'last month' and I said that this was a phishing call.
