I stopped him and told him he was really terrible at this game, should stop now, he’s not cut out to be another sh*tty scammer. Told him his parents would be ashamed of him. SCAM! Following several silent/scam calls, I normally screen all calls with my answering machine, but decided to pick up this time. Voice at other end said he was calling about a problem with my "Virgin Media broadband". I don't have Virgin Media broadband to told him to piss off! Obviously a scam call from another low-life scumbag.
Man with heavy Indian accent told me he was from Open Reach. As my internet connection was very slow he wished to assist in speeding it up. Total rubbish!

Trying to dial the number gets a message that one should "check the number and try again" because the number is invalid (which I hinted at being possible). This, to me, confirms it is a scammer, attempting to appear a valid UK caller but failing as they are unfamiliar with the rules for UK phone numbers.

Called 4 times today, did the whole reciting my details trick (easily obtainable by googling my office phone number) apparently offering better electricity rates. Told them I wasn t interested on all 4 occasions yet they kept calling back to ask who was providing my electric. Very insistent on getting my electricity providers name to the point it was suspicious that they wanted it so much.

They then managed to trigger the Amazon reset password text message and pressured me to give me that code to them, presumably so that they could take control of my Amazon account. I got a missed call from this number. I tried to call back and a recorded message said "This is a marketing call" and said that all of their agents are busy.

The problem is that I don't have a car, and I am not driving xD When I told her that, she was very adamant that she needs to get my details because I was in a car accident. Be careful with them.

I replied that i was registered with the TPS so shouldn t be receiving unsolicited calls and asked them how they d got my number. He apologised and mumbled something I didn t catch due to his Indian accent, then carried on with his spiel about how he was sure I could help them! I said I was too busy and put the phone down.
