No idea who called from this number as no one spoke when I picked up. Just a nuisance really.
Called with a thick asian accent claiming to be Janet from Virgin and calling about an issue with the router. They asked me to tell them the colour on the router and then input a web address. I guessed immediately that this was a scam but decided to lead them on a little. After a couple of minutes 'Janet' realised that I knew this was a scam and launched into a tirade of verbal abuse swearing and threatening to come and stab me before then hanging up!

who is this and where did they get my number from?? i did get someone at the other end earlier today , they mumbled something, called me by a name then the line went dead. SCAM - pretend to be Airbnb wanting a confirmation payment working as part of a group advertising false flats via Facebook marketplace for rent to be booked through Airbnb for a couple of months before going onto a rental agreement with the ‘host’ - once money is paid they say that someone from air bnb will be in touch to hand over keys and sign agreements etc but never hear from them again.

Junk mail from HSBC linked firm. First to mobile, then called house line. I have not given my number/details to any firms/surveys/shops/ other organisations since Jan 2015, when I stopped work to look after the kids. This week I updated details with HSBC for their online documents BS and today I had 2 junk marketing calls. You d think they make enough cash off my overdraft fees, but obviously need to sell my details to shore-up their disgraceful accounts too... Tragic.
