I responded to a text advert when I advertised my car for sale. We buy any car offered a quotation if I provide basic vehicle details. They provided an(under)valuation figure to offer to buy your car, I wasnt interested however I was later telephoned by the company to whome I Confirmed I was Not interested in selling to them. The company has since contacted me again three times, they have my contact number from the original add.

Asked if my late husband was available and used his first name, when asked who he was he was he put the phone down. How did he know my husbands name?1

The point of the scam is to find gullible people who will believe what they say. They are crooks who once they find a victim will ask them for personal details and /or credit card/bank details "So we can proceed with our refund to you" They then commit identity fraud or empty your bank account. Obviously you were the ones they were looking for for them to steal your hard earned money from. I re- dialled this number to see who had called me and got the message "number not valid".

I've had three phone calls from this number today. I answered the 3rd time and they just hung up. I still have no clue why they keep ringing.
