SCAM Automated call Banking AMAZON American female voice claiming that my Visa Mastercard (!) was being debited for large amounts of money - one going overseas, and the other to Amazon. "Click 1 if you've authorised these transactions, or 2 to speak to our fraud advisor", or similar message. I put the phone down.

This number belongs to a window company. When asked where they got my landline number from (rarely used) the lady hung up instantly.

Think it’s a scammer on FB, has hacked into an account on there and pretending to be a widower living in Bedford. The phone is being used in the Preston area. I have blocked before he tries to extract money from me. He will not send current face photo with today’s date in his hand so I know it is a scammer. The FB profile hacked looks very American not Uk. Hope this helps.

Appears to be a scam re £900 use on persons visa card, wants you to press various numbers, I will report to my bank, on no account press any numbers suggested!

I had a call from this number yesterday the caller said he was from British Gas to arrange a service I wasnt convinced that he was genuine and I asked him how I could be sure that he was from British Gas he immediately hung up Although this is a genuine BG number scammers can mimic numbers to make it look like the call is legitimate I will log into my British Gas account when I want to book my HomeCare service

I am suspicious of this phone number. The man phoning spoke good English with a strong accent and was convincing. He told me he was from AV (antiviral program) and that my recent payment of £149 had not gone through. He offered me a discount policy at £29 for the next year. Re The failed bank payment, the bank itself stopped this money and when I spoke to my bank it was decided that the £149 seemed high for an anti viral program and there was a possibility of fraud. SPAM Awhile back, this number called me and hung up after several rings. I attempted to call back, but stopped when I realized the number was in perfect sequence. That alarmed me.
This mobile called my elderly mother telling her that £4,000 and then £2,000 had gone out of her bank acount. Thankfully my mother realised it was a scam because she does not have a large amount of money in her bank account and immediately put the phone down on the caller.

I got a text from number 07474 220881. said " Hi mum I've broken my phone, a friend let me message you from theirs but its nearly dead. Can you call me on my new number 07564646779" which is this number and I did check the number that sent me a text, apparently the website said it is landline. Im confused.

This number called me this morning saying my amazon prime was automatically being renewed at £69.99 so I can enjoy. All automated message you can't say anything. I've rung Amazon and told them so now they are aware.
