it rang at 14.16 23/8 when i answered it hung up My guess is whoever is on the other end of the phone makes a decision on whether its worth having a conversation to scam any money off them by the way they answer - as they would know who they could pull the wool over the potential victims eyes & who theyve no chance of winning I answered it with a firm Hello .If it had been a pensioner i reckon they wouldve started a conversation anyone know who the company is
I didn't recognise the number so let it go to answer machine. they didn't leave a message, so I called them back and the number was answered and was silent? I presume it was a machine/automated call but not sure.

Received automated call after attempting to make a payment with my card which was refused. Automated voicemail left this number to call. This number is for the Fraud line call centre in Sunderland. I was wary at first about giving details and voiced this but service advisor said if worried not legit to call number on the back of my card and will be put through to them (not pressured into giving any security info at all). Called a service user I support, I asked for some thinking time for the SU and for a number to call back on if interested, if they didn t hear from us to view it as not interested. Looked up number online and read all this. Glad I did. Stated from EE, but no proof they are! Be careful, people, who you five information out to!
