SPAM John from a company called something like 'window and doors limited' but can't quite remember, british accent. Said he was in the area doing some window and driveway installation work and wondered if there was anything he could help me with. I queried where he got my number from and he hung up. called the number back (01174433677) and it's an automated voice saying i'd been called by digital marketing solutions company for market research (not the name of the company he'd given!).

Fraud fraud fraud. Do not call back on this number or give any details. My elderly parents received a call this morning. Lucky I was around and he claimed he was calling from virgin media in London. I then asked if he knew English and he said no. From here I released something ain t right. I immediately googled the number he gave and read the previous comment. Fraud. This number came from my mother's WhatsApp account informing me that she had changed her number to this one. She had not. Phone goes straight to voicemail. I have put this as fraud as they are fraudulently representing themselves as someone I know.

My phone rang (from 01752 854247), I answered and said hello. A woman's voice said hello back. I said you called me and she hung up.

This is a scam. If your card is stolen and HSBC calls you, they wouldn t ask you to call back. I received a call from this number AFTER I cancelled my card. I terminated the call when I realised it was a scan. I didn t call back and didn t receive another call. A genuine fraud department would call again.
